Ensuring a sanitary environment by providing the safe and environmentally appropriate disposal of waste is also a key factor. From an economic perspective, access to affordable and reliable energy is imperative to allow a society to prosper economically. With this in mind, TDTF is committed to working with industry, government and local partners in developing countries and communities globally to advance the provision of public utilities to promote the development of healthy and economically thriving communities.

D. Education
TDTF believes access to a quality education is one of the primary factors effecting an individual’s future health, economic prosperity and engagement with the justice system. It is the great equalizer in societies with significant income disparity and conveys an economic benefit to individuals, their community and their nation. Understanding that literacy and numeracy are education’s building blocks, the Society will focus on the promotion and implementation of those skills in developing countries and communities globally with limited resources. Disabled learners in these circumstances face extraordinary challenges and the TDTF will seek partnerships with organizations domestically and internationally to support their needs in particular, as well as those of the community as a whole.
Example contemplated: Strengthen the overall quality, accessibility and relevance of education programs for girls and indigenous peoples. Support classroom and professional development projects that support anti-racism, reconciliation, diversity and cultural education outcomes and promote the understanding, respect, appreciation, acceptance and celebration of all people as equally valuable in our society.
E. Social and Affordable Housing
TDTF believes the provision of adequate shelter is a basic human requirement for survival and is often a significant challenge for the disadvantaged members of a community. In particular, those that are the most vulnerable often have the greatest need for affordable housing. TDTF is committed to work with community partners in the public, private sectors and not-for-profit to provide affordable, safe housing for the disadvantaged at home and abroad.
Examples contemplated:
a. Provide housing to women & children fleeing domestic violence/intimate partner violence, and sexual abuse.

c. Provide Accessible Housing for the Mobility Impaired & Visually Impaired adults & children.
E. Gender Equality and Diversity
TDTF believes one of the hallmarks of a progressive society is the equal access to opportunities, such as education and employment, by all members of the community. To achieve that goal, valuing gender equity and diversity, in all its forms, is essential. Particular emphasis will be given by TDTF to advancing the interests of women and children, as well as other disadvantaged individuals, which in turn will also benefit their families and communities.
Example contemplated: Provide and assist with sexual reproductive health care, gender discrimination and contemporary social practices for adolescents and improving maternal health to help manage childhood illness, encourage safe childbirth and provide emergency care.
F. Arts and Culture
Research has demonstrated the broad economic and social benefit to a society that promotes and supports the arts and culture. In general, the arts and culture has a wide, measurable impact on our economy, health and wellbeing, society and education. TDTF believes in enabling continuous learning in developing countries and communities globally and views the arts and culture as an essential element of that process. TDTF will seek partnerships with individuals, as well as public, private and not-for-profit organizations that seek to promote and support the arts and culture towards the planning, development and/or implementation of projects that strengthen the arts sector.
